 We are arranging 2 new sessions of the following program from June to November 2014:

Job Options Program for Urban Older Workers (55+)

** Reside either in Surrey or White Rock / Delta
** Out of work and need a hand getting back into the job market?

Urban Older Workers Program is an employment and short term skills training program that can help unemployed British Columbians gain the employability and job search skills, confidence and experience they need to find employment.

Eligibility for Job Options BC:

(1) Participants will be individuals who are 55 years of age or older, and who are:
(2) Unemployed, non-EI British Columbians who are Landed Immigrants or Canadian Citizens and are not attending school
(3) Non-EI individual is one who has not established a regular Employment Insurance claim in the last three years; and, has not established a maternity or parental claim in the past five years
(4) Individuals who are most likely to benefit from long term job search help, supported work experience and follow-up support services

Program offers:

(A) 5 weeks of facilitated group work followed by 6 weeks of work experience options to a maximum of 11 weeks. Training allowances for 4 to 5 weeks of group work
(B) Preparation for employment, or where appropriate, further training and up to 6 months follow up support
(C) Opportunity to be trained and work with a BC employer.
(D) Residents of Surrey, or Delta or White Rock
