2005 Palamino HYBRID Trailer - $10500 in Abbotsford, British Columbia for sale

$10,500

Our family made our first foray into the RV trailer market last summer. After looking at tent trailers which everybody was selling because they were too small, we started looking bigger, but didn't want to start with a big bunkhouse trailer or fifth wheel when we didn't even know if we were cut out for RVing.

So we bought this hybrid trailer - Stampede 195 by Palamino. After looking at a bunch of them we decided on this one because:

- A/C: what's the point of going on holidays to Kelowna if you're sweltering day and night in the hot weather. This hybrid has a great A/C and my wife and I were very happy to have the Air Conditioning in the hot weather!

- Double axle: steadier to tow, safer if you ever had a flat, overall sturdier

- Full size RV fridge: this one holds a 4litre of milk plus veggies, pop, water and juice; and the freezer holds buckets of ice cream, pizzas, etc. It's the same size we've seen in the 30ft RVs.

Well, we loved RVing and all the family time we spent together (including through a storm up in 108 Mile House), but it was just a bit too small for the six of us including four kids with one teenager and one "almost" teenager. We slept six no problem, and even eating was fine inside, but we found we were constantly moving the luggage around from bed to chair to table and back again. So we're going to sell and get something bigger now that we know we like the lifestyle!

Other specs:
- dual propane, currently full
- GVWR: loaded weight 4820 (we pulled with our 2002 Durango, but will now have to sell that too to get a bigger truck to pull what we want to buy)
- Queen and double tent-trailer style pullouts
- Beds on jack-knife couch and dinette, so sleeps 6 comfortably, but the luggage for six people needs to go somewhere too, so this is probably best for 4-5, with younger children
- Microwave, furnace, A/C, fridge, freezer and hot water heater all work perfectly
- includes weight distributing hitch which made this feel very stable when pulling - I wasn't getting pushed around much at all on our trips
- includes breathable winter cover to protect it from the elements during the BC rainy season
