What is this product used for?
This product is used to distribute audio throughout your home from one existing stereo system. The QLS4.1 Impedance Matching Speaker Selector has the ability to control audio from one (1) stereo source/device. It is designed to distribute audio to as many as four (x4) additional rooms.

Do I need an expensive stereo receiver/amplifier with multi-zone capability?
No. Any stereo system with amplified speaker outputs will work just fine.

How can I add multi-room audio using the QLS4.1?
The QLS4.1 will hook up as follows:

Just connect the speaker output terminals (Left/Right Speakers) from your stereo to the QLS4.1 Speaker Selector box inpus (Left/Right Speakers).
Then simply run speaker wires from the output terminals to the speakers in the rooms where you would like to listen to your tunes.
Do I have to distribute audio to four locations?
No. You can decide to distribute audio to 1, 2, 3, or 4 locations.

Is there an On/Off option if I want silence in one location?
Yes. The QLS4.1 has four individual On/Off selector buttons. Press the button once to turn on music distribution for your desired location. Press the button once again to turn off the audio distribution.
What are other considerations?
Plan ahead. Think about how you are going to run your speaker wires from your main room to each additional location/room. It is essential that you can run speakers wires throughout your home to the areas where your new speakers will be installed. If you have determined that you can run speaker wires to each room, you are on your way!
