2018 Little Guy Max in Abbotsford, British Columbia

$37,000

The Little Guy Max trailer by Liberty Outdoors (now Xtreme Outdoors) is a large tear drop retro design that is easy to tow but packed with features. We’ve owned this since new and it has been fully maintained and serviced by the dealer. It has never given us any problems and in fact, it is probably the most well-built trailer we’ve ever owned, but as we move into retirement, we are moving on to a trailer that can accommodate our 3 grandchildren, 2 dogs and of course ourselves.

The Max features are extensive and contain everything you could want in an RV. The Max comes in two configurations, regular and Rough Rider with the primary difference being the height from the ground. This is the regular, however we had it lifted a few months after purchase to get that extra clearance. It also comes with an over the jack mounted bike rack which we have never used.

The Max never fails to turn heads and if you buy this trailer, you will routinely be asked about it in campgrounds and parking lots. It is light enough to tow with a mid-size SUV (5,000+ lb towing capacity recommended) and the included weight distribution hitch makes towing a breeze.

Camping in the Max is really the definition of Glamping. The solid wood cabinets and multiple lighting options give the max a warm and cozy feel. We often turned the dinette into a couch with cushions and would spend our evening sitting at each end reading, talking and having a drink. That position is surrounded by windows which are one of the best features of the Max. The many, large windows give the max a really pleasant open feel and tons of natural light inside. The windows are tinted for privacy from the outside but this doesn’t impede your view from the inside. And, when the windows are open, the breeze is delicious. There are many side windows and the front and back of the trailer each feature a huge single window that also opens. The one in the back is over the bed and allows for star watching at night. Every window has a built in screen that comes down from the top and a built in privacy blind that comes up from the bottom. These attach when they meet so you can choose to partially or fully cover a window with either.

Things you should know.
We have had this trailer since 2018 and there will of course be some wear and tear expected of a 4.5 year old trailer. All of these are very minor with two exceptions: The TV’s are movable inside and outside of the trailer – in the process of moving one, I dropped it. We have never replaced it because we don’t every use them. There is still one working TV that can be moved to one of three locations. The second is the bug screen on the door. This is a string based mechanism that gave up the ghost last summer. As we rarely used it, again we did not replace it.

Lastly, when purchased we removed the original mattress that came with the trailer and replaced it with a standard household one. We are assuming no one wants our used mattress and so are selling it without that. The price offered reflects those things.
